Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions.     First outing, pleasantly surprised

    My pup and I walk 4 to 5 miles a day and most days end up walking at dusk or nighttime. Low light visibility has always been a priority, but I thought this vest might be over the top. Tonight was our first outing and I was pleasantly surprised and feel the added visibility justifies having a dog who looks like they are ready to direct traffic. I paired the vest with the beacon light up top, third party solid white light on his collar, and an extra velcro high-vis reflective break away collar. The vest fits comfortably over the ridgeline harness. Tonight, during the night time portion of our walk, we had 2 cars stopping at crosswalks before I hit the signal button and cars moving over and giving us a full lane while walking through an area with no sidewalks.

    We have 2 blue heelers. Took them both out for the first fall mushroom hunt of the season. The jackets held up very well from the brush they walk through. Even better when they started rough housing and one had the others jacket in their mouth and was pulling hard. Not a scratch on the jacket (or the other dog)

    The right vest to be seen

    I really needed a vest that would standout when hiking in the woods in the fall. We have incredible trails in our area and this vest can be seen from far away. Our dog is very comfortable in it and we are so happy it was in stock before our fall camping trip!

    As a veteran with a service dog, I exclusively choose Ruffwear products due to their design and durability. This new vest does not disappoint. Great contrasting colors for quick identification and locating. Moka loves all her RUFFWEAR gear, and has to always check herself before we head out in a mirror.

    Highest quality+ most durable safety vest on the market

    I purchased this vest about 5 years ago and can say definitively that it is the highest quality safety vest that you can purchase for your dog. If you need an orange vest because you are in a place where people hunt or you simply want wonderful visibility this best is the ticket. I have tried other brands and they fall apart and are junk even though the price point is pretty much the same as Ruffwear. This is a smart investment and if you're on the fence you can always size up or if you have multiple dogs size up it's fairly easy to adjust the vest to fit a smaller dog and vice versa you can extend the straps to fit a larger dog. I have the extra large and I have put it on a big 120 lb lab as well as a 60 lb husky.
