Hitch Hiker™ Leinensystem

This is my go to leash when out and about in the city, which is so counter-intuative, but I love how I can have the length real short to keep my dog at my side, and I can be hands free in case I need to grab my wallet, or keys, or whatever else. And then in larger spaces I let her run free with the full length. It's amazing. My girl is also a leash biter and this one has stood up to the challenge for more than a year. I just ordered another one as a gift for someone else.

I love this leash! Light weight extremely versatile, it’s a winner. I personally would like a little more space for keeping lights and poop bags and perhaps a phone but over all it’s great even with out that. The one thing I would like to see is a right sided option with the bag is in front. I have two dogs, one goes on the right and the other on the left so it would be great to have the option to choose which side the leash control sits on and dog orients from. I realize you can wear it backward but that doesn’t give the access I need to totems I stow with the rope in the pack. Another option that would be ideal and help my two dog situation is to have a double rope one for each side so that two dogs can walk from the same pack. Thanks for considering.

I am a woman who is blind. I used this to take my beautiful service dog Kombi, to the river, for the last two summers. He had severe arthritis and thus, needed to swim. I could not allow him to swim off leash, even if we located a calm lake to swim in. Which we did, last summer. I trusted him to come back to me, but did not trust the water not to take him away. And since I am blind, it made it so easy to find him. Even if I could not feel him moving, just follow the cord and there he was, eventually. He was the type who just adored to swim, no matter what. And had I been able to swim myself in a lake or river with him, this leash would have allowed us to do that together!!! I had to put him down on the fifth of August. He was built like a Corgi.

For the last eight months, we have had a beautiful service dog in training puppy. She is a miniature Golden Retriever. Her name is Sneachta, pronounced Shnakta, the Irish word for snow. I was considering purchasing Sneachta another hitchhiker leash. But now, I don't need to. We have been to the river twice, since kombi died and are going again, tomorrow. Sneachta loves to chase toys at the river. We have a toy which one of my friends made kombi, for the river. Sneachta will not swim without a toy or a stick to go after. Whereas Kombi would have swam all day, whether he had a toy or not. This leash allows me to keep Sneachta somewhat close at hand, which is great, since she's ten months old and interested in everything. And…

This leash works great, allows you to have your hands free and keep the pup at many different lengths
