I am actually shocked at how well this works on my dog. The first time I tried it, it was 96 degrees after sunset. My friend's dogs were playing in the yard, but my dog was panting heavily within a minute and didn't want to play . So I dunked it in water and put it on him, and within a couple of minutes he was tearing it up, and the other dogs quit playing long before he did.

The second time was a decently long hike. The ground was reasonably cool so it was safe for him to walk, but at high elevation the sun was INTENSE. We were heading home but his fur was starting to feel quite warm. I dunked it in a cattle trough we passed and once again he was much more comfortable and lively within minutes. He started running around with my much more heat tolerant dog. I'm going to buy a bigger backpack so I can carry water to keep this charged up all day once he's old enough for big adventures.

I kept sticking my hand under it and being amazed at how cool his fur and body felt on such a hot day. Wet his bandana too and tie it high on his neck for more coverage. He is a very long and slender dog, so I do wish it was a hair longer, but it's still great.

I appreciate the leash port, and hope all the buckles are tucked away. It helps prevent snags. Worked well with the Hi and Lite harness. The swamp cooler gets filthy if they roll around in the dust, but only needs a quick rinse and it's back to new.

Purchase made for our dwarf pinscher who is about 14 years old and still very active.

She has difficulty taking walks in the evening since the hot weather (even if it is 23/25 degrees on a late walk), she gasps quickly. With the fresh coat, no more panting problems, she stays cool and gallops happily!

We are very happy, when the temperatures are a bit too high but reasonable for walking, she can enjoy as if nothing had happened with her vest!

After an hour of walking she is still fresh under her vest without being cold, the material used is great!
